Senior outside hitter Kelley McLain (Simi Valley, Calif.) boosted her senior season with her 1,000th career kill on August 27 in a match at Friends University. Midway through the third set, Mary Acord (Granby, Colo.) set a ball up to McLain who drove it down the edge of the court past the Falcon's libero to collect her 1,000th kill. McLain entered her final season already holding the program record and looking to become the first Wildcat to reach the 1,000th kill benchmark. McLain finished her Wildcat's career with 1,367 kills and averaged 3.09 kills per set in her senior campaign. Throughout her four seasons she averaged 2.89 kills through 489 sets in a Wildcat uniform.

McLain was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a Northcentral Region Honorable Mention honoree. This was her second consecutive all-region honorable mention award. She was also named to the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) All-Conference First Team. This was her third A.I.I. all-conference honor.
