Five Wildcats named to All-SCAC Sportsmanship Teams

DENVER – Five Johnson & Wales student-athletes were named to the fall SCAC All-Sportsmanship teams, the conference announced Monday.

Juniors John Jacob (men's cross country), Rachel Seligson (women's cross country), Austin Coder (men's soccer), Molly Sharples (women's soccer) and freshman Kaitlin Jones (volleyball) were recognized after displaying good sportsmanship throughout the fall 2018 campaign.

The SCAC President's Council encourages all spectators, coaches and student-athletes to "Cheer Hard, Play Harder and Respective Everyone."

JWU athletic director Tom Byrnes applauded Jacob (Aurora, Ohio), Seligson (Palo Alto, Calif.), Coder (Longmont, Colo.), Sharples (Henderson, Nev.) and Jones (LaSalle, Colo.) for their positive behavior and exemplary attitudes before, during and after competition.

"This is a terrific honor for these student-athletes," Brynes said. "They are a great representation of JWU athletics, and I'm thrilled that we are part of a conference that values good sportsmanship so highly."
