Sandee Mott to lead Wildcat Athletics

Dr. Jeff Ederer, Dean of Students, is pleased to announce that Sandee Mott is set to become Director of Athletics at Johnson & Wales University’s Denver Campus. Mott most recently has served as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Metro State College, an NCAA Division II institution in Denver. At Metro State, Mott oversaw compliance as well as baseball, men’s soccer and women’s basketball. In her work with the Roadrunners, she also served on several committees, including as the chair of the NCAA Division II women's basketball committee and chair of the Division II Central Region women's basketball committee.

Prior to joining Metro State, Mott was an associate commissioner for NCAA Division II’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) where she managed among other areas: officials, compliance, fundraising and operations. Before joining the RMAC, Mott spent five years as head women’s basketball coach and senior woman administrator at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English education from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and received her master’s degree in English from Fort Hays State University in 1996.

In her appointment, Ederer stated, “Sandee is an accomplished athletics administrator who I believe has the vision to guide our varsity programs as well continue developing our club sports, intramurals and recreation opportunities.”

Mott will join JWU on June 4 where she will be tasked with oversight of the six varsity sports programs as well as growing department programming and support of Wildcat Athletics.
