Johnson & Wales sweep the A.I.I. Conference Honors for the 2009-2010 season

The Wildcats not only secured the second of back to back national tournament appearances, but in the process also added several conference recognitions. Senior forward Andrew Baker (Broomfield, CO) was named A.I.I. Player of the Year, freshmen forward Matt Fisher (Fort Collins, CO) was named Freshmen of the Year while Head Coach Jeff Culver received his second consecutive Coach of the Year honors. Baker led the Wildcats with 13.50 points per game and was named A.I.I. Player of the Week in early December. Baker was also named to the A.I.I. Division II All-Conference Team. Also selected to the all-conference team were senior forward Nate Lark (Dayton, OH), senior guard Ethan Fisher (Fort Collins, CO), and junior forward Nick Maly (Broomfiled, CO). Lark led the Wildcats in rebounding bringing down an average 7.07 boards per game. Lark also proved to a top defender with 24 blocks during the season and was also named A.I.I. Player of the Week in December. Fisher was named the A.I.I. Conference Tournament MVP while 12ppg and 2.38 assists per game. Maly quickly became the Wildcats go-to-guy this season shooting .729 from the line while also bringing down 5.77 rebounds per game and 2.03 assists per game.
