Six Wildcats Named 2011 Daktronics Scholar Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today the students selected as Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for Division II Basketball. Six student-athletes from Johnson & Wales University were named for their academic performance during the 2010-2011 season.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Those Wildcat student-athletes selected were:

Ethan Evenson, Senior, Sports, Entertainment, Event Management and Management

Sarah FitzPatrick, Senior, Entrepreneurship

Holly Kesterson, Senior, Sports, Entertainment, Event Management

Nick Maly, Senior, Finance

Jake Richter, Senior, Entrepreneurship
