Derner, Campbell named 2012 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2011-2012 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes as part of the 2012 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Tournament. Representing Johnson & Wales University among the honorees were Jake Campbell and Cody Derner. Honorees are nominated by their institution and must be a junior with at least a 3.5 gpa.

Derner is a junior guard from Grand Junction, Colorado majoring in Management with a concetration in Entrepreneurship. Campbell, a junior from Aurora, Colorado, is a Criminal Justice major. Derner and Campbell are two of the 106 Division II men's basketball players honored this season.
