Four named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Kansas City, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that 492 men's soccer players have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Johnson & Wales University had four student-athletes recognized for the honor.

Fergus Bunn (Melbourne, Australia), Ivan Torres (Houston, Texas), Nick Darnell (Burlingame, Calif.) and Lucas Prolow (Evergreen, Colo.) were selected for the honor. BunnTorres and Darnell are all two-time honorees and Prolow was selected for the third time.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
