Johnson & Wales closed out their 2018 season on Sunday with an afternoon contest against #3 Trinity University at Aurora Sports Park.

JWU found themselves down a goal early after a foul was called in the box, setting up the Tigers for a penalty kick. TU's Quintin Van Der Lee converted the attempt to put Trinity up 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Brandon Coder (Longmont, Colo.) made the save on an attempt by Jacob Hallenberger. Coder had another stop in the 15th minute to keep it a one goal game. In the 32nd minute, Ryan Hunter put Trinity up 2-0 with a header to the bottom left corner. Coder closed out the second half with one more save as JWU trailed 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Coder continued to get the stops with a save in the 50th minute. The Tigers added two quick goals in the 64th and 65th minutes to extend their lead to 4-0. Johnson & Wales continued to look for their first of the game but kept seeing their shots go off target. Johnson & Wales had two attempts late in the game but both 89th minute shots were off target and Trinity took the 6-0 victory.

The Wildcats enter the off season with their sights on improving in the second year in the SCAC.
