Hope International shuts out Wildcats in California finale

The Wildcats finished their California roadtrip with a three set loss (17-25, 16-25, 19-25) to conference opponent Hope International on Saturday afternoon in Fullerton. From the opening set, the Wildcats struggled to string points together while the Royals used a sluggish Wildcat defense to go on multiple point scoring runs.

On the offensive side, the 'Cats barely put together a positive hitting percentage collecting just 17 kills throughout the match but also recording 16 attacking errors. Freshman setter had 16 set assists for the Wildcats and came up with two big solo blocks for the Wildcats. Kyle McDonald led JWU with 6 kills and Ryan Schroerlucke came up with 6 digs.

The Wildcats (2-11, 1-7 MAMVIC) host a series of games from March 2-6 with Cardinal Stritch, Clarke and Missouri Valley traveling to Denver to take on Johnson & Wales.
