Hardrockers too much to handle in 64-90 road loss
Johnson & Wales found themselves behind early in a 64-90 loss to South Dakota School of Mines on Friday night. The Hardrockers held a 49-30 advantage heading into the break holding the 'Cats to just 28 percent from the floor. The second half had JWU look better in their shooting but SDSMT controlled the game from the start, dropping the 'Cats 64-90.
Samantha Neal and Caitlin Durkin each had 18 points while the trio of Durkin, Victoria Huber and Amber Salaz all brought down 7 rebounds. Four Lady Hardrockers scored in double digits with Justine Blade finishing the night with a game high 19 rebounds and was joined by Janelle Strampe with 8 boards each.
Johnson & Wales will finish their South Dakota roadtrip at Black Hills State on Saturday at 4pm.
