Wildcats come up short at Ottawa

The Wildcats began the final weekend of the regular season on the road at Ottawa University on Thursday night.

The Braves got on the board early, taking control of the draw and driving down the field to go up 1-0 after 37 seconds of play. Ottawa set the tempo early as they jumped out to a 8-0 lead through the first 10 minutes of action. After the first half, the Braves held the 13-0 lead over Johnson & Wales.

In the second half, Ottawa continued to control the offensive side of the ball as they added eight more goals to take a 21-0 victory. Hanna Jo Eady (Newnan, Ga.) had eight saves for Johnson & Wales through the first half and Madison Herbert (Berthoud, Colo.) made three saves in the second half. Kyra Gangemi (Elkton, Md.) had three draw controls for the Wildcats.

Johnson & Wales will wrap up their season on Saturday against University of St. Mary.
