Gilbert and Gibbs to play for Wildcats women's volleyball this Fall

Coach Bossow and staff are pleased to announce the signing of Braeden Gilbert from Burleson, TX to the JWU-Women’s Volleyball team for the fall of 2011. She has been a varsity starter at Burleson High School her last two years. Braeden was elected captain during her senior season as they placed third in districts. Braeden has won several volleyball awards including most outstanding defensive player, 2nd team all-district, all-county team, and academic-all district. She played 3 years of club volleyball at club One10 making their top national team all 3 years. This year she plays for the well known Tejas Volleyball Club on their top 18's team as a libero and defensive specialist. Braeden will be studying baking and pastry arts.

Head Coach Lara Bossow and staff are pleased to announce the signing of Veronica "Roni" Gibbs for the fall of 2011. Roni played high school volleyball for Poudre Valley High School in Colorado where she lettered in her junior and senior years receiving All State honors. She also received a Leadership award for her team leadership abilities her senior year. Roni has been playing volleyball since the 7th grade and, for the past five years, she has played club volleyball for NORCO Volleyball Club. Her parents, Kathi and Jim, support her in all her endeavors as she enters a new chapter at Johnson & Wales University.
