Sylvia Hartman gives verbal commitment to Wildcats

Sylvia Hartman is from Colorado Springs, Colo., and has played on club volleyball National teams for four years, the past three with Colorado Classix Juniors (CCX). During this time, her team took first place at three Rocky Mountain Region Power Tournaments, and her CCX 17 Rox team – which she led in blocks – finished the 2010 club season in Division 1. She is a Right Side/Middle Blocker and also played Defensive Specialist for Sand Creek High School where she lettered for two years. Sylvia plans to study Baking and Pastry Arts at JWU. She was selected this year for the ProStart competition team at Sand Creek, and has taken every course offered in their Culinary Academy Program. Sylvia was born in Falls Church, Va., but has lived in Colorado Springs for twelve years. She has a younger sister who is a junior in high school and also plays volleyball.
