Wildcats finish season at A.I.I. Championships

Johnson & Wales traveled to Cal State San Marcos to take part in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference Championship on Saturday. Just before race time, the Wildcats had to withdraw runner Bianca Beltran therefore running one team member short to qualify for a team score in the race.

Cal State San Marcos won the race behind Kelly Thompson's second place finish and the remaining Cougars finished third, fourth, seventh and eighth to cruise to the title. Simon Fraser, University of British Columbia, Soka and one runner from Southwestern College also competed.

Nicole Paradisa was the top finisher for the 'Cats with a time of 24:20 while Katie Rear finished next with a 26:31 completion. Jamel Walker came across the line next for JWU with a time of 28:42. Aubrey Shaw rounded out the Wildcats runners with a 30:03 finish.
