Oros, Grant-Perry named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship team

DENVER – Salma Oros (Buckeye, AZ) of the Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team and King Grant-Perry (Cleveland, OH) of the JWU Denver men's basketball team were named to the SCAC All-Sportsmanship team on Friday.

Oros and Grant-Perry both started every single game during the 2018-19 season, providing a steady, dependable presence for the Wildcats. Oros and Grant-Perry epitomize The Wildcat Way with the way they carry themselves and represent Johnson & Wales University on and off the court.

A 5-foot-1 junior guard, Oros' experience and leadership were a huge assets for an extremely young JWU team that relied heavily on first-year players this year.

A 6-foot-5 senior forward, Grant-Perry's infectious positive attitude and work ethic were big keys to the Wildcats' success throughout their first season in the SCAC.

Both Oros and Grant-Perry were nominated by their respective coaches, Bob Kintzel of the women's team, and Quintin Grogan of the men's squad.
