JWU SAAC accepting donations for 'Wall of Love'

DENVER - The Johnson & Wales University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is currently accepting donations for its "Wall of Love" service project. Walls of Love is a nationwide initiative founded in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio by Holly Jackson to help provide basic necessities and winter gear within regions of poverty. 

There are three donation boxes on campus:

  • Fitness Center (2nd Floor of Wildcat Center) 
  • Athletics Adminstration Offices (1st Floor Academic Center) 
  • Dean of Students' Office (First Floor Centennial) 

Donations will be collected through Thursday, Nov. 14. Items to donate include hats, gloves, scarves, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and blue tarps. After collecting these items, SAAC will create its own Wall of Love on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. at Civic Center Park.
