Valley City holds off 'Cats in 47-57 loss

Johnson & Wales fell to 4-14 on the season with a 47-57 loss at Valley City State on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats started sluggish scoring just 17 first half points while the Vikings had 34 going into the break.

The 'Cats were starting to make up some ground in the second half but couldn't manage the rally as they fell 47-57. Jake Campbell led all scorers with 19 points, going 8 of 13 from the floor. Kahler Grandbouche brought down 9 boards for JWU. Aaron Duske had 10 points for Valley City State and Sylvester Walker had 11 rebounds.

The Wildcats will host Northern New Mexico College on Saturday at the Wildcat Center.
