Wildcats rally but come up short in regular season finale

The Wildcats finished their regular season schedule with a 75-84 loss to Colorado College on Wednesday night. The Tigers jumped out to an early advantage and led 18-9 midway through the first half. JWU had an offensive explosion that pushed them back into the game and the 'Cats took a 31-29 advantage into the break.

Out of the intermission, Colorado College began to put more pressure on leading scorer Jake Campbell but the other Johnson & Wales players couldn't stop CC's Ryan Milne and Chris Lesnansky. The Tigers charged ahead and put the game away taking both contests in the two sides season series.

Campbell led JWU scorers with 23 points and Kahler Grandbouche came up with 8 boards. Aaron Lampkin had 3 points in his first game back from injury for the 'Cats. Milne finished the night with 31 points for the Tigers.

Johnson & Wales must wait now until Sunday evening to determine their post season eligibility. The 'Cats are on the bubble to advance to the State Farm A.I.I. Championships in Madison, South Dakota next weekend.
