The Wildcats took on #10 Tabor College on Saturday afternoon in Sterling, Kansas.
The Bluejays got off to a quick start on the Wildcats, jumping out to a 13-6 lead through the first five minutes of play. The 'Cats countered with a push to come within three points just under the 10 minute mark. The two teams traded bucket with the 'Cats not letting Tabor pull away. The Bluejays made a late push in the final minutes of the first half, to take a 34-23 lead into the break.
The start of the second half had the saw the Bluejays extend their lead to as much as 20 points in the first 10 minutes. The 'Cats weren't able to regain the momentum they had to start the contest as Tabor held off JWU's late push and take the 78]57 win.
Johnson & Wales will travel down to the US Air Force Academy on Tuesday night for a contest against the Falcons.
