Johnson & Wales wrapped up the 2017 portion of their schedule on Friday with a game at Air Force.
After a back and forth start in the opening five minutes, Air Force started to put some distance between themselves and the 'Cats. The Wildcat's offense hit a bit of a lull as the Falcons continued to push their lead up. The Wildcats started to hit some of their shots again but Air Force maintained their offensive output. After the opening 20 minutes of play, Air Force held the 62-28 advantage.
In the second half, Johnson & Wales had a better start to the period and hit some of their early shots. The Wildcats continued to chip away but the Falcons kept hitting their shots to keep the same pace. JWU wasn't able to make up the ground needed from the first half deficit and fell 111-68. In the second half, Air Force only out-scored the Wildcats by nine points.
The Wildcats will return to the court on Thursday, January 4 when they host Oglala Lakota College in the 'Cats home opener.
