GREELEY – After a busy stretch that saw the Wildcats play six games in eight days – with four of those contests on the road – the Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team had just two days off before returning to the court once again.

JWU Denver traveled north for a mid-season exhibition against Division I in-state foe Northern Colorado, falling 118-52 to the host Bears.

King Grant-Perry knocked down an early jumper and SCAC Player of the Week Jontrell Herman sank a 3-pointer on the next possession to give the Wildcats (8-2) an early three-point lead two minutes into the contest.

Another jumper by Grant-Perry (Cleveland, Ohio) tied the game at 9 at the 16:20 mark before UNC started to pull away. Jordan Davis scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Bears, who led 55-19 at halftime.

Bailey Stephens paced JWU with 13 points while 10 different Wildcats produced points. Starters played limited minutes for coach Quintin Grogan's team as JWU gets ready to return to SCAC play Friday at Texas Lutheran and Saturday at Southwestern.
