Men's basketball falls to Southwestern in season finale

GEORGETOWN, TX - The Johnson & Wales University men's basketball team wrapped up the 2019-20 season with a 79-68 SCAC conference loss at Southwestern University on Saturday night. 

Freshman Andray Thomas Jr. led the Wildcats with 23 points and nine rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench. Sophomore Shyreef Robins scored 15 points to match his career high for the second consecutive contest. Freshman Jaerron Hunter finished with 10 points and three boards while sophomore Charles Young had 11 points. 

Brandon Alexander led the Pirates (12-13, 8-10) with 21 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Wildcats, who finished the season 2-13 overall and 1-17 in conference, had another solid shooting effort (48.2 percent) but came up short on the boards, 39-18.
