WAUKESHA, Wis. – Junior James Shalhoup (North Easton, MA) paced the Johnson & Wales men's golf team with a round of 79 (+7) on Saturday at the Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Invitational.

Shalhoup's score was his third-best this season as a Wildcat and placed him in a tie for 35th.

Sophomore Manny Garcia (Lakewood, CO) and freshman Andrew Thimjon (Hillsboro, OR) had the next-best rounds for the Wildcats with matching 82s (+10).

Junior Alex Fernandez (St. Johns, FL) carded an 83 while freshman Steven Gadient shot 85 to complete the day for JWU. The Wildcats totaled a 326 as a team to finish in 11th place.

JWU's road trip got cut short a day as Sunday's Lake Forest Invitational in Beach Park, IL has been canceled because of weather.

The Wildcats will return to action April 22-23 for the SCAC Championships in Blanco, Texas.
