Texas Lutheran tops JWU men's soccer

SEGUIN, TX. -- The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team fell 2-0 at Texas Lutheran on Sunday in a non-conference matchup between two SCAC schools. 

Sophomore Arnold Ntsama Kilama and freshman Josh Guzman tested Caleb Weed in the opening 10 minutes before Cameron Townes put TLU on the board in the 14th minute on goal assisted by Mitchell Long to put the Wildcats in catch-up mode. 

Sophomore Logan Moore and senior Alexis Araiza had their attempts turned away in the second half to keep the Wildcats scoreless. 

Sophomore Brandon Coder and junior Zac Collins both played a half and each made six saves. The 12 saves JWU Denver made as a team were a season-high. 

The Wildcats return home to host in-state foe Colorado College on Friday at Aurora Sports Park (5 p.m.).
