Wildcats drop season finale to No. 25 Tigers

COLORADO SPRINGS - The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team capped the 2019 season with a 6-0 loss at Colorado College on Saturday at Stewart Field. 

Sam Bermingham scored three times and assisted on the games's first goal to lead the Tigers (13-5, 8-1), who clinched an outright SCAC regular season title. 

Freshman Dylan Reimer and junior Emad Bashir-Mohammed recorded one shot on goal each for the Wildcats, who ended the season 3-14-1 and 2-7 in conference play under second-year head coach Andy Kohel. 

Sophomore Brandon Coder started in net for JWU and was relieved by junior Zac Collins and freshman Dylan Handlovitch

In stark contrast from the teams' first meeting - a 2-1 overtime win by CC - the Tigers finished with a 17-5 advantage in shots and 8-1 edge in corner kicks. 

For the season, Bashir-Mohammed led the Wildcats with five goals, followed by three each by freshman Josh Guzman, sophomore AJ Watters and freshman Coby Zazueta. Sophomore Kyle Hernandez paced the team with three assists while Coder finished with a team-best 2.39 goals against average and two wins.
