Johnson & Wales headed to Boulder on Saturday for the CU Open at the University of Colorado.

Junior Albert Rodriguez (San Jacinto, Calif.) achieved a program first as he met the "A" qualifying standard in the 800 meter run with a finish of 1:56.11 to finish 17th in the mostly Division I field. He becomes the first men's track athlete to qualify for an NAIA National Invitational.

Bryce Moore (Loma, Colo.) finished in 31st place in the 800 meter with a time of 2:01.00. In the 60 meter hurdles, Corwin Scherer (Burbank, Calif.) finished in 13th place with a time of 8.95 in the prelims and Devon Phillips (Brooklyn, Mich.) crossed the line at 9.17 in 14th place.
