The Wildcats headed to Golden on Saturday for the Joe Davies Classic at the Colorado School of Mines to wrap up their 2017 indoor track season.
Devon Phillips (Brooklyn, Mich.) and Corwin Scherer (Burbank, Calif.) got the day started for Johnson & Wales with the prelims for the 60 meter hurdles. Phillips finished with a time of of 9:14 while Scherer advanced to the finals with a finish of 8.81. In the finals, Scherer came in 7th with a time of 8.97.
The 400 mter run saw Alan Almeida (Aurora, Colo.) finish with a time of 55.39. In the 800 meter event, Albert Rodriguez (San Jacinto, Calif.) and Bryce Moore (Loma, Colo.) represented Johnson & Wales. Rodriguez finished third overall with a time of 1:57.88 and Moore finished in 16th at 2:10.52. Phillips also ran the 200 meter race with a finish of 26:53.
The 'Cats will head to Colorado Springs on March 25 for the start of their outdoor season at the Colorado College Invitational.
