Men's track tunes up for SCAC Championships at Kit Mayer Invite

GOLDEN – The Johnson & Wales University men's track and field team on Sunday competed in its final meet before the SCAC Championships next weekend, taking part in the Kit Mayer Invite hosted by Colorado School of Mines.

Junior Bryce Moore (Loma, CO) highlighted the day for the Wildcats, finishing 31st in the 400-meter run with a time of 55.16. Moore placed 15th in the 1,500 in 4:20.78.

Junior John Jacob (Aurora, OH) finished 37th in the 400 (57.84) and placed 17th in the 1,500 (4:23.04).

Freshman Cody Lane (Fairmont, MN) placed 38th in the 400 in 57.84 and 29th in the 1,500 in 4:54.58. Classmate Noah Llerandi finished 38th in the 400 with a time of 1:10.04 and 21st in the 1500 at 4:34.98.

Freshman Evan Salazar (Mundelein, IL) placed 40th in the 400 (1:18.91) and 31st in the 1,500 (6:16.45).

JWU will head to San Antonio, Texas for the SCAC Championships hosted by Trinity University April 26-27.
