Wildcats wrap up Mines Alumni Classic

GOLDEN - The Johnson & Wales University men's track and field team wrapped up its first indoor meet of the season Friday at the Colorado School of Mines' Alumni Classic & Multi. 

Junior Emad Bashir-Mohammed turned in the top finish of the day for the Wildcats by placing seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.92. Bashir-Mohammed won an all-JWU heat that also included freshman Keenan Rimbert (2:18.63), sophomore Noah Llerandi (2:19.89), sophomore Cody Lane (2:37.72) and sophomore Evan Salazar (2:45.15). 

JWU Denver also had a pair of runners in the 5,000-meter run as senior John Jacob finished in 16:09.45 while classmate Bryce Moore crossed in 16:35.46.
