JWU finishes 16th at Missouri Southern

The Wildcats headed to the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri on Saturday to continue their 2018 campaign.

The 8K race featured 227 competitors from 24 Division III, NAIA and other small colleges. Alberto Rodriguez (San Jacinto, Calif.) finished in 11th place with a time of 26:55.9 ahead of Bryce Moore (Loma, Colo.) in 64th at 28:58.3. Noah Llerandi (Boulder, Colo.) and Cody Lane (Fairmont, Minn.) crossed in 141st and 142nd at 31:21.3 and 31:21.4. Abe Villegas (Irving, Texas) was across the finish line at 32:26.0 in 169th place. John Jacob (Aurora, Ohio) finished in 188th at 33:06.4 and Alan Almeida (Aurora, Colo.) finished at 33:34.7 in 197th. Evan Salazar (Mundelein, Ill.) cross the finish line at 42:27.1 in 225th.

The Wildcats will head to the New Mexico Highlands University Cross Country Jam in Las Vegas, New Mexico on September 29th.
