Wildcats finish 3rd at SCAC Championships

Johnson & Wales capped off their 2018 season on Saturday at the SCAC Championships at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. The Wildcats finished in third place with a team score of 93.

Alberto Rodriguez (San Jacinto, Calif.) was the top finisher for Johnson & Wales, crossing the finish line in 3rd place at 26:15. Bryce Moore (Loma, Colo.) was the next runner for JWU in 16th with a time of 27:26. John Jacob (Aurora, Ohio) finished in 20th place with a time of 27:46 ahead of Noah Llerandi (Boulder, Colo.) in 30th at 28:26. Cody Lane (Fairmont, Minn.) crossed the line at 29:00 in 36th place and Abelardo Villegas (Irving, Texas) was in 50th at 30:18. Alan Almeida (Aurora, Colo.) finished in 53rd for Johnson & Wales with a time of 31:38.

Rodriguez earned all-conference honors for his third place finish. Trinity University took home the team title with a score of 35.

The Wildcats will now move into their indoor track season, opening that schedule in December.
