The Wildcats finished the weekend with a Saturday afternoon contest against Dine College in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The 'Cats showed their dominance throughout the first quarter, opening up a 33-13 lead through the first 10 minutes of action. In the second quarter, the Warrior's offense completely stalled and Johnson & Wales surged ahead to the 54-13 halftime lead. Dine College was held scoreless in the second stanza.
In the third quarter, McCorra Ford (Gillette, Wyo.) hit her shots early and often as JWU extended their lead to 78-21 through three quarters of play. In the fourth, the Wildcats worked the clock but their offensive output kept on track and Johnson & Wales took the 107-36 victory.
Ford led JWU with 20 points and both Cara McNiff (Aurora, Colo.) and Allison Butler (Del Norte, Colo.) added 17 points. In all, five different 'Cats scored in double-digits for Johnson & Wales. Ford had 15 rebounds for JWU and Salma Oros (Buckeye, Ariz.) dished out six assists.
JWU returns to the court on Tuesday night when they host Colorado College in the second game of their annual home and home seriers.
