COLORADO SPRINGS - The Johnson & Wales University women's basketball team came up short in an SCAC conference road matchup Friday night at Colorado College, falling 90-51 to the host Tigers at Reid Arena.
Colorado Springs native Brianna Bailey led all scorers with 24 points. Bailey made 4-of-9 from behind the arc and added eight rebounds. Freshman Sariah Serrano was second on the team with a career-high nine points to go with three rebounds for JWU (4-15, 4-10). Sophomore Katey Guzman finished with eight points and three boards.
Rosie Braley paced the Tigers with (13-8, 9-5) with 17 points.
CC led 26-17 after the first quarter, 48-26 at halftime and led 45-13 in bench points.
The Wildcats return to the Wildcat Center on Friday to host Trinity University.
