Women's Golf opens season at NWU Fall Classic

Johnson & Wales Women's Golf opened their first ever season at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Fall Classic held at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.

The tournament featured the Wildcats along with two squads from Midland University and host Nebraska Wesleyan. On day one of the tournament, Maya Romero (Aurora, Colo.) shot a 101 on the round with Hannah Marie Perry (Winterville, Ga.) and Shundiin Kauffman (Cortez, Colo.) both netting a 160 in the round.

In Monday's round, Romero shot a 102 for the Wildcats. Johnson & Wales finished fourth among the squads.

The Wildcats will head to Ramada Mustang Invitational on September 22 and 23, hosted by Southwest Minnesota State at Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn.
