AUSTIN, Texas – The Johnson & Wales University women's golf team wrapped up its first spring tournament of 2019 with the second and final round of the Linda Lowery Invitational on Tuesday at River Place Country Club.
Both competitors in the field representing the Wildcats improved their scores from Monday's opening round. Junior Shundiin Kauffman finished 18 shots better in Round 2, shooting a 136 for a two-round total of 290 to finish 24th individually.
Kauffman finished the tournament strong, playing her final three holes four-over par.
Classmate Hannah Marie Perry shaved off 11 strokes from Monday's round, finishing Tuesday with a 159 for a two-round total of 329 to place 25th. Perry played her best on the back nine with double-bogeys on 11 and 15.
JWU returns to action March 9-10 at the Oregon Tech Spring Invite in Eagle Point, Oregon.
