Women's golf wraps up Eagle Invite

STAFFORD, Va. – The Johnson & Wales University women's golf team wrapped up the Eagle Invitational on Sunday with the second and final round at Augustine Golf Course.

Junior Shundiin Kauffman (Cortez, CO) edged classmate Hannah Marie Perry (Winterville, FL) for the team's best round of the day with a 126. Perry shot a 127 – 18 shots better than her opening round score on Saturday. Kauffman improved nine shots to lead JWU with a two-day total of 261.  

Ali Nava (Loveland, CO) scored a 131 on Sunday while teammate Morgen Gonzalez finished with a 169. Nava's tournament total of 266 was second on the team while Perry was third at 272. Gonzalez finished with a tournament score of 339. 

The Wildcats will now have some time off before heading to Blanco, Texas for the SCAC Championship April 22-23.
