Women's lacrosse concludes spring break road trip

BREVARD, NC - The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team wrapped up its two-game spring break road trip with a 19-8 loss at Brevard College on Wednesday.

The teams split the first four goals of the game before Brevard went on a 5-1 run to end the first half to build a 7-3 lead. The Tornados continued to build their lead in the second frame en route to their first win of the season. 

JWU senior Ashley Guerrero scored three times and had one asssits while sophomore Julianna Lozada and Jochelyn Suglio each had a pair of goals for the Wildcats. Freshman Alexus Thompson also found the back of the net for JWU while Jillien Gerace and Jenni Aragon were credited with three ground balls each. 

Sophomore Brigid McCollam made 12 saves on 31 shots for the Wildcats. JWU returns home for a pair of games this weekend, hosting Adams State on Saturday at Denver East High School and Fort Lewis on Sunday at Shea Stadium.
