SEGUIN, TX -- The Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 contest at Texas Lutheran on Sunday.

The matchup between the two SCAC schools did not count was designated as a non-conference contest.

JWU Denver (2-7, 0-0) Katelyn Peters made four first-half saves but couldn't stop Madison Alexander from scoring in the 28th minute to give the Bulldogs the lead.

TLU added three goals during a 14-minute stretch in the latter part of the second half to put the contest away.

The Wildcats generated 11 shots -- their second-most in a match this season -- and had a season-high five corner kicks but could never get on the board.

Senior Natasha Martin led JWU with four total shots, one on goal. Classmate Rebecca Brock had three shots, one on target, while Brooke Ford accounted for the team's other SOG.

The Wildcats head to Lincoln, Neb., on Sunday for a road contest against Nebraska Wesleyan (10 a.m.).
