Women's soccer falls at Nebraska Wesleyan

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team closed out non-conference play Sunday with a 5-0 loss at Nebraska Wesleyan. 

The host Prairie Wolves scored three times in the opening 13 minutes to take control of the contest and finished with a 14-5 advantage in total shots. 

Senior goalkeeper Katelyn Peters made 10 saves in 80-plus minutes for the Wildcats (2-7-0), who finished the game with sophomore Alexandra Colvin in net. Freshmen Brooke Ford and Sydnee Hart along with sophomore Katherine Owings and seniors Natasha Martin and Hailey Jensen registered a shot for JWU Denver. 

The Wildcats open up SCAC conference play Friday, Oct. 4 at Centenary.
