IRVING, Tx. - The Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team began its weekend road trip in Texas with a 2-0 loss at the University of Dallas on Friday night.

The Wildcats totaled nine shots, matching its second-most in SCAC play this season, but couldn't put one past Crusader keeper Olivia Severson, who helped her team remain unbeaten in league play at 4-0.

Dallas scored once in each half, in the 33rd minute on an unassisted goal by Alyssa Mencacci and in the 68th minute off the foot of Elisa Duran, to extend its win streak.

The host Crusaders out-shot JWU 16-9 as senior goalie Katelyn Peters finished with seven saves, including six in the second half.

Freshman Brooke Ford and sophomore Samantha Roybal were responsible for the Wildcats' two shots on goal.

JWU will play its final road contest of the season Sunday at Austin.
