DENVER - The Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team was unable to pull off an upset against No. 20 Trinity University on Friday at Aurora Sports Park, falling 3-0 to the visiting Tigers.

Katy Ward (10'), Jessica Young (21') and Emma Everts (80') scored for the Tigers to keep them unbeaten atop the SCAC at 6-0 and 12-2-0 overall.

Senior Katelyn Peters made four saves for the Wildcats, who held the Tigers below their season averages for shots (15) and goals. Senior forward Natasha Martin suffered a knee injury in the 31st minute, limiting the Wildcats' ability to generate offensive momentum.

Freshman Sydnee Hart made her fourth start of the season for JWU Denver and recorded a shot on goal in the 86th minute.

Seniors Rebecca Brock and Hailey Jensen along with freshman Kayta Arbuthnot also finished with one attempt each for JWU.

The Wildcats wrap up the 2019 season Sunday against Schriener. JWU will recognized one of the most accomplished senior classes in program history before the match, honoring Peters, Brock, Jensen, Martin and Amanda Fischer.
