Junior Rachel Seligson placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 21:16.55 to lead the way for the Johnson & Wales women's track and field team on Saturday at the Scott Nisely Classic on Saturday in Crete, Neb.
The Wildcats also had Rebecca Brock finish fourth in the 1-mile, clocking a time of 6:05.48, the second-fastest indoor mile in team history.
JWU Denver also had a pair of top-eight finishes in the 400 run as Jenna Bonfardine was seventh in 1:09.08, just ahead of teammate Virginia Gautier in 1:09.28. Bonfardine ran an 8.44 in the prelims of the 60 dash, the second-best time in program history in the event. .
