Brock earns silver in 800 at Scott Nisely

CRETE, NE - Senior Rebecca Brock's second place finish in the 800-meter run was among the highlights for the Johnson & Wales University women's track & field team at Saturday's Scott Nisely Memorial hosted by Doane University. 

Brock finished in 2 minutes, 25.4 seconds to claim the silver, the top individual placing for the Wildcats in the meet. Brock also ran a 1:07.57 to finish 16th in the 400. Fellow senior Rachel Seligson finished the 5K in 22:10.69 to place seventh. 

Freshman Mikayla Hummons had a pair of top 16 performances, finishing 15th in the 200 in 28.30 and 16th in the 60 dash in 8.36. 

Senior Catherine Carbeck finished in the top 25 in three events, including a 10th place effort in the 400. Carbeck also finished 20th in the 200 (28.75) and 25th in the 60 (8.62). 

Freshman Jenny Seda placed 24th in the 400 (1:21.35), 26th in the 60 (8.64) and 33rd in the 200 (31.76).
