WICHITA, KS - A pair of school records highlighted Friday's Wichita State College Invitational for the Johnson & Wales University women's track and field team.
Freshman Mikayla Hummons set broke the program mark in the 60-meter dash with her prelim time of 8.34. Hummons then bested that with an 8.28 in the finals, taking fifth in the sprint race. Hummons also placed 10th in the 200 with a time of 28:31.
Senior Rebecca Brock continued to write her name in the team record book, clocking a team-best time of 1:42.81 in the 600 to take home second place.
Senior Catherine Carbeck was busy throughout the meet, competing in four events. Carbeck placed fourth in the 400 (1:03.62), 12th in the 200 (28.49), 15th in the 60 (8.64) and 38th in shot put (6.93). Rachel Schuurman tossed a 6.85 in shot put to finish 39th.
Freshman Jenny Seda placed 19th in the 60 in 8.79 and 22nd in the 200 in 31.01.
