Volleyball falls to Dallas in return to SCAC play

KERRVILLE, TX - The Johnson & Wales University volleyball team returned to SCAC play Saturday at Schreiner University, falling 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22) to open the day to the University of Dallas in a neutral-site matchup. 

Freshman Hope Hines totaled a team-leading nine kills to go with 16 digs to lead the Wildcats (2-15, 0-6). Sophomore Kaitlin Jones added 23 digs while senior Brooke Paxton had eight kills and nine digs. JWU Denver also got four kills, 16 assists and third digs from senior Ashlee Ruehs and 13 assists and five digs by sophomore Jacquelyn Ortiz

Dayah Whyte had a match-high 15 kills for the Crusaders, who out-hit the Wildcats .267-.122. 

JWU continued the day with a match against Southwestern.
