Wildcats compete at Missouri Southern Stampede

The Wildcats continued their season on Saturday at the 2018 Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.

The 5K race featured programs from NCAA Division III, NAIA and other small colleges with 205 competitors. Rachel Seligson (Palo Alto, Calif.) was the first Wildcat across the finish line in 107th at 21:51.3. She dropped 1:30 off her personal best to set a new individual mark. Next for the Wildcats was Morgan Lozano (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) in 159th at 23:44.9 ahead of Lynette Mientus (Germantown Hills, Ill.) in 175th at 24:28.1. Lourdes Escamilla (Irving, Texas) finished at 31:21.3 in 203rd.

The Wildcats will head to Las Vegas, New Mexico on September 29th for the New Mexico Highlands University Cross Country Jam.
