DENVER - In a rare chance to run in its home city, the Johnson & Wales University women's cross country team competed in the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday at Washington Park.

The JWU Denver women finished sixth as a team in a meet filled with mostly Division II schools with score of 174.

Senior Rachel Seligson paced the Wildcats with a 6-kilometer time of 27:58.6 to place 69th individually. Freshman Savannah Hadley followed in 76th with a time of 30:27.4.

Freshmen Nicole Lenners (34:22.7), Jenny Seda (43:37.6) and Mikayla Hummons (44:23.5) completed the day for the Wildcats, who were pacing themselves ahead of next week's Fort Hays Tiger Open when times are expected to be much faster.
